At The Breaking Point
Jeremy, the kids and I were driving back from a trip into town today and the Lord gave us a beautiful picture, beautiful, might I add, in more ways than one. The sky was very similar to the picture above, where the sun is breaking through the clouds. I am actually painting a picture for a friend with this theme, where Gods light breaks through the dark clouds of life at the moment we need it the most.
Well, I was noticing, while gazing at the glorious display before me, that even though the sun was still shrouded by the clouds I was still being blinded and it was not by the rays of light raining down through the clouds. It was the edges that were closest to the break in the clouds that seemed to glow the brightest with the same intensity as the sun itself. As we all sat there staring up, my husband made the correlation between what we were seeing and what we sometimes experience spiritually in life. When we seem to be at the breaking point, God illuminates our lives to show His glory. This was just what I needed to get me through another week, we then began to talk to my son Jediah about how the Bible says that God's attributes are clearly seen through His creation and that even though we can't see Him, we can still get a glimpse of His power and beauty through the universe that He made!
Thank you Lord for speaking to us, I pray that this can be true of us, when we are at the breaking point, when we feel like the dark clouds of life are too much to bare, we would trust in You and Look to You as You shine through with Your glory and cause us to Glow!
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead. Romans 1:20
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. Psalm 46:5
