His Presence

I was so blessed and privileged to spend one day at this years Calvary Chapel Worship leaders Conference. I was hoping and praying I would get to go. Now after the fact I am glad that I spent only one day, at the end of the day I was completely and utterly spiritually exhausted. It started out with an amazing time of worship led by the couple from the band Lovelite, such a blessing. Then the message was about getting back to our first Love and how we as worship leaders can only expect Gods people to go as far as we are willing to go ourselves. If we are not completely living a life of love and devotion to Christ how can we expect others to as well. This convicted me greatly! After the first session we got to choose a workshop and I chose this workshop with Sherrie Youngward. It was a time a sharing her heart and experiences over the years and what God has done in her heart. She gave this visual illustration of how Christs sacrifice tore the veil so that we might enter the Holiest place, Gods very presence!! She gave this verse that talks about how Christs flesh is the veil in which we enter into His presence. And I pictured this transparent image of Christ standing with His outstretched and wounded hands kind of flowing with a gentle breeze before the place where we enter in to Gods presence. And she said that so many times instead of going through she often just slips a note under the door. And it struck me right in the heart that I so many times stand there and see what Christ did to grant me entrance and I choose not to enter. How can I not go in.......how can I just stand there.......and see all that Christ did..........coming to earth, becoming a man, and dieing a horrible death so that i could freely fellowship with the God and Creator of all the Universe. Lord please please please forgive me when I leave you standing there beckoning me in. For the Joy that was set before You, You endured the cross despising the shame. That Joy was having ALL Your children come into their Daddy's room and spending time with Him anytime, anywhere. How can I not enter......How can I just walk on by....

Thoughts from my heart,
Nicole
